I believe

You should always leave loved ones with loving words.  It may be the last time you see them.

Many of do not get enough Vitamin D, either from fear of being out in the sun or not enough in the foods we eat. I have not had the flu in about 6 years, I never get a flu shot, I never get a cold, ear ache, sniffles, etc.

Avoiding sugar, high fructose corn syrup (another thing to discuss) and eating plenty of veggies and proteins, nuts, and avoiding too many low/no fiber grains, is key, too

God is Watching

Children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, "Take only one, God is watching."

At the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies. Moving through the line a boy wrote another note to leave by the cookies, "Take all you want, God is watching the apples."

Guardian Angel on the Job

A man was walking in the street when he heard a voice: "Stop! Stand still! If you take one more step, a brick will fall down on your head and kill you." The man stopped and a big brick fell right in front of him. The man was astonished. He went on, and after awhile he was going to cross the road. Once again the voice shouted: "Stop! Stand still! If you take one more step a car will run over you and you will die." The man did as he was instructed, and a car came careening around the corner, barely missing him. "Where are you?" the man asked.

Glory Be Unto the Father

Walking by, a minister saw his 5-year-old son and playmates find a dead robin. Feeling that proper burial should be performed, the children had secured a small box and cotton batting, then dug a hole and made ready for the disposal of the deceased. The minister's son was chosen to say the appropriate prayers and with sonorous dignity intoned his version of what he thought his father always said: "Glory be unto the Faaaather, and unto the Sonnn... and into the hole he gooooes."

No-Parking Zone

A minister parked his car in a no-parking zone in a large city because he was short of time and couldn't find a space with a meter. So he put a note under the windshield wiper that read: "I have circled the block 10 times. If I don't park here, I'll miss my appointment. FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES." When he returned, he found a citation from a police officer along with this note: "I've circled this block for 10 years. If I don't give you a ticket, I'll lose my job. LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION."

Where is God?

A couple had two little boys who were always getting into trouble. Their parents knew that if any mischief occurred in their village, their sons were probably involved.

The boys' mother heard that an elder in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her sons. The elder agreed, but asked to see them separately.

John McCain's divorce

Did I catch your attention?

Well, this "upstanding man" who is the epitome of the family man has a secret, sort of.

Mr. McCain likes to tell you that he has great moral fiber, that is an honest and upstanding family man with ethics. Here is some interesting facts, about his first wife.

While he was in prison camp in Hanoi, he dreamed of returning home to his lovely wife..... CAROL (not Cindy). What he found out, when he returned home from Vietnam, was that his lovely wife had been in a terrible accident that left her disfigured.

A Letter Addressed to God

A letter written in a childish scrawl came to the post office addressed to "God".

My husband and I have been
watching some biographies on TV of many great singers of all genres
such a Luciano Pavarotti, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash.

I love many singers but my favorites are (in no particular order):

Luciano Pavarotti - opera - this man, in my opinion, is the greatest opera singer to ever grace the face of the earth.

Josh Groban - contemporary - his deep, easy, rich tones are so
beautiful. The first time I heard him on the radio, I was in love with
his voice.

Why women SHOULD vote!!

My friend emailed me this
today and with a large, national election looming in the USA, I thought
that this was a good thing to post...

This is the story of our Grandmothers and Great-grandmothers; they lived only 90 years ago.

Remember, it was not until 1920 that women were granted the right to go to the polls and vote.

The women were innocent and defenseless, but they were jailed
nonetheless for picketing the White House, carrying signs asking for
the vote.

Emberessing moments

My 9 year old daughter has began learning about poverty. She ased me a week ago if we were poor. I said well, we are not rich but I wouldn't say we are poor. So later on in the day her and I went to the store and she asked if she could buy a toy. I sad no and she stared singing as loud as she could, "were poor, were poor!" over and over again. I was embaressed!

My cat is freaking me out!

I am pretty sure that my cat needs some type of pill to control her mood swings. One minute she loves you and the next she is hissing, bitting, and attacking you. I have never seen such an angry cat before . Have you?

Only in America

Things happen only in America...

1. Only in America......can a pizza get to your house faster than an ambulance.

2. Only in America......are there handicap parking places in front of a skating rink.

3. Only in America......do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to
the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people
can buy cigarettes at the front.

4. Only in America......do people order double cheese burgers, large fries, and a diet coke.

Ways to get a firmer BUTT

Take the stairs instead of the elevator. It's the calorie-burning way to avoid awkward silences (or worse, accidental groping), children who press the buttons for all the floors, Muzak, and unnecessary energy use.

The Benefits
Buns of steel. No surprises here: Climbing stairs burns up to ten times more calories than standing in an elevator.
Step-by-step conservation. Depending on type, capacity and usage, an elevator's yearly energy use can equal that of seven homes.

All you need to do to see this yourself is buy an iPhone and download some of the free streaming audio applications, such as Pandora and Last.fm.
