Do you think the contraversy on the scoring between the American and Chinese Gymnists is legit? I have been watching and personally believe the USA girls are getting a raw deal.

I have not heard anything about the outcome of this investigation, other than the fact that the IOC asked the gymnasts to be investigated.
I think there is proof that at least ONE Gymnast is under aged, and ithere has been proof of that on the net unearthed by a private investigation firm.
I have to say right now that yes I know these girls often look younger than they are, but she looks way young, and if it hadn't been on teh sight that she was 13 and that sight was taken down, then I could have bought the story of maybe a typo, but they took it down, not to mention there has been more proof that she is underaged.
I don't want to see anyone loose a medal
however, if they cheated, then they SHOUDL loose all gymnastic mendals involved.

to score anything correctly. They keep trying to come up with something that will work. Hope they find the right programming for the computer. It's objective at least.
When I was swimming competitively, they had one judge pick each of the first 6 places. After my event, no one picked me, and I knew I'd been in the top. Apparently the 2nd place judge and 3rd place judge thought I was each other's pick.
The next event was my worse one, the one I was entered in because no one else could do it. They picked me 3rd when I knew I wasn't. While even as a child I knew they were trying to make up for the mistake before, they just cheated the girls in that event. While my coach was happy, I wasn't.
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom
to make mistakes." ----Mahatma Gandhi

I believe that the US was judged unfairly. When I saw that they use a computer program to break ties...I was in awe. It just wasnt right. I hope the investigation when finished reveals that they were lying about the ages of the Chinese girls and they are stripped of their medals and given to the US.
To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
