I've seen this movie a long, long time ago. Seeing your question sure brought me down to memory lane.
I will always associate Julie Andrew's with her role as Maria, the nun turned governess in this movie. I've heard this was based on a the real VonTrapp family.
I love all the songs in this musical. My favorite is "I'm sixteen going on Seventeen." I love the scene where Rolf and Liezl where singing in the gazebo.

Though the hills may have been alive with the sound of music, my house is not. I am very familiar with the songs and the dance they teach to the kids... but I have never seen the whole movie all the way through nor have the parts I have seen caused me to be interested in doing so. And the sad part is, I love Julie Andrews and I love musicals...

Strong people make as many mistakes as weak people. Difference is that strong people admit their mistakes, laugh at them, learn from them. That is how they become strong.
