I don't think they should take guns away.  It only keeps the good people from buying them.

I am also very serious about gun Saftey. and regulations. When kids are getting ahold of guns on the streets then we arent being strict enough

I think that people should be able to keep there hunting rifles as long as they hunt animals with it and thats all. Of course I dont believe in people having handguns. There are to many violent crimes commited with guns.

I've never seen a bill that applied to hunting rifles. You don't need an automatic to hunt for food. Someone hunting deer does not need armor piercing bullets.

Last time I saw the stats, you were 6x more likely to get shot if you had a gun in your home "for protection." Most of these shootings, of course, are family members shooting each other.

More children die from  accidental shots in the USA than all the gun deaths in the whole of Europe combined. We've all read the stories of how little Johnny located the key, climbed up to the top of the closet and took Daddy's gun from the locked box, then accidentally shot himself or a little friend.

We definitely need to make guns less available. If the police stop a citizen with 6 automatics in his vehicle, it would be a good idea for them to have the power to investigate.

OK, I feel a novel coming! LOL...

first, I like to play devils advocate so I am actually gonna argue with myself... also to show that I have put thought into my responces! LOL...

You say it is ok for hunting rifles but not guns used for crime... could I not shoot you with a huntng rifle? Could I not use a hunting rifle to hold up a store? I mean, it wouldnt be as easy... but ANYTHING can be used as a weapon...

On the flip side... and to speak my opinion... There are so many fine lines that I am not sure where it goes from tighten laws to trampling my rights. I believe there should be background checks but alot of guns in crimes are bought on the street so... But gun restrictions only limit what was given to us in the constitution. It isn't right to take someones rights from them. And the minute we blame guns for killing people we must consider the ban of pencils for causing so many misspelled words... it is the person using the tool that determines how it is used... We cannot blame the gun... it has no free will!

Wow, that wasnt nearly as long as I thought it would be!

I'm not from the USA. From the Philippines but gun bans are imposed here.
