Any military wives here? Where are ya from and where are you currently located?? I am from Houston, TX and currently live in the lost and forgotten town of Yakima, WA!! Very different than what I am used to! And EXPENSIVE!!!! I think Washington is such a ridiculously expensive state to live in! And it doesn't help that the DOD can't get our BAH right because there has never been permanent party here in Yakima. So... any other gripes and complaints, comments or wonderful stories???
Hey everybody!! Please, don't be sorry! My husband and I got into the military knowing what could happen and yes, it is hard and lonely being away from him and hoping he doesn't get hurt. But he wanted to be able to defend this country we live in and everyone in it, so that we would be able to say the things we want and do the things we want!! We should all appreciate soldiers' and thier families for what they sacrifice for us! I have noticed in this town I now live in, that people don't care. It is really a sad sight when a soldier in uniform walks into a store and all people do is give him dirty looks (like why are YOU in my town?). That is why when I show my military ID at the pharmacy and the lady behind the counter says to me, "Military, huh? I respect you and your family for all that you do and sacrifice!", I give such big kudos to people like that!! My husband is in the military, but whenever I do see another soldier out and about, my daughter and I walk up and tell him/her thank you for your service! It really makes thier day!! I think the main thing I was complaining about up there in blue was the fact that the Admin part of the military really sucks! But anyway!
