Do you consider your pet a member of your family? I called my girlfriend yesterday and told her we had a new member of the family. She seemed shocked because she knew I wasnt pregenant. When I told her about Dolly she said that Dolly was a dog, not a member of the family. She isnt into pets so she thought I was being stupid by considering a pet amember of the family. To my us she is a member of the family but would do you think.
Am I being stupid?

I've always considered my dogs to be members of the family. I had a poodle mix for approx. 17 years. When she passed away, I didn't get another dog for about 4 years or so. I probably wouldn't have then if my mom hadn't given me a push! But, we have 2 baby boys now and they're adorable. They make us laugh and smile every single day. I don't think any person is ever as happy as a dog to see us~lol! They both sleep in our bed and act very much humanlike!
